Streamlining course workflows for college faculty and students
TLDR
Overview
Having worked as an EG-UY 1004 Teaching Assistant for 3 years, I wanted to give back to the community before I graduated! As one of 2 design majors in the department, I was one of 2 founding UX/UI designers in redesigning our 10-year old course website! This overhaul initiative was an in-house project between UX/UI designers, full-stack engineers, and industry professors.
Note: In-house website overhaul by part-time engineering TAs aka/ full-time college students, managed by professors

USER RESEARCH/INFO ARCHITECTURE:
Conducting user interviews with students, TAs, and professors to understand holistic experience
Mapping site architecture, migrating essential legacy functionalities to the new platform layout
PRODUCT DESIGN:
Ideating and designing new solutions to improve overall user experience, yielding 92.3% user satisfaction in initial testing
Rapidly prototyping, including visualizing pages 0-1
Articulating design rationale to full-stack engineers + professors (PMs)
Built WCAG-AA compliant design system and branding along with co-designer (Eleanor!)
